Korea. IL-2 Series is Out!
Hello, pilots!

Today, a new chapter begins for our team and the entire IL-2 series—Korea is officially out.

This day was made possible by people who are genuinely passionate about history and flight simulators—people for whom not only the mechanics of combat aircraft and the finer points of piloting matter, but also the historical context: the era, the events, and the lives of the people who lived through them. People who spend long hours in the virtual sky and value every element that comes together to create the feeling of real flight and aerial combat.
Thank you to everyone who waited for the game, followed its development, discussed the news, and shared their thoughts. Your support kept us moving forward and reminded us who we make games for.

We would also like to extend special thanks to our Early Access participants. You were among the first to take to the skies of Korea, learned the aircraft, worked through Career, and explored the game closely. Your feedback, observations, and suggestions became an important part of the development process. We value your contribution, study your feedback carefully, and continue to draw on it as we keep working on the game.

The release is an important milestone, but not the final destination. We will continue to improve the game, expand its capabilities, and fill the skies with new events. The team is already working on future updates and a major expansion, which we will tell you about very soon.

Korea. IL-2 Series is available on the official website and on Steam. Choose your preferred platform, take your seat in the cockpit—and we will see you in the skies!
PATCH NOTE: 1.001
We have prepared a patch note for our Early Access participants. It contains changes and fixes added to the game after the hotfix release on July 31.
ENGINE AND TASK EDITOR
FIRST LAUNCH
  • If a gamepad is the only connected input device, flight stabilization mode is now enabled automatically.
  • Screen resolution is now detected automatically on first launch.

INTERFACE AND SERVICES
  • Main menu loading speed has been improved when auto-login is enabled.
  • Fixed the operation of in-game links to IL-2 Series services.

GRAPHICS
  • Fixed LOD switching for static ships in ports.

EDITOR TOOLS
  • A hidden Fake_Object_Primary object has been added to the Task Editor. It allows mission authors to mark a point on the map that AI-controlled aircraft will prioritize as a target.
  • In the Task Editor, the flight element size within an aircraft group—three or four aircraft—can now be set for any formation type. This setting affects how player commands are distributed when flying as a commander.
  • The Mission Resaver utility has been added for mission authors and dedicated server administrators.
  • A flight element size setting has been added to the Formation command, which affects the Commander Menu.
ENGINEERING
AIRCRAFT
  • F-80C10: wingtip structural strength has been increased—they no longer break under moderate g-load when carrying heavy external stores.
  • F-80C10: in Career and Task Editor, the 165-gallon drop tanks have been replaced with 265-gallon drop tanks.
  • Il-10: fixed the display of internal tail section components when damaged.
  • Fixed the operation of flare bombs in multiplayer.

AI AIRCRAFT
  • AI aircraft aerial combat algorithms have been improved to reduce the likelihood of ground collision during combat.
  • The low-altitude maneuvering restriction has been adjusted: the minimum permitted altitude is now calculated for a 45-degree dive angle.
  • The conditions for initiating the descending spiral maneuver have been adjusted.
  • Fixed the "Return to Base" commander command: wingmen now fly back to the departure airfield rather than the nearest one.
  • Fixed the logic for wingmen returning independently after expending their ammunition: they now fly back to the departure airfield rather than the nearest one.
  • When executing the "Return to Base" command, the airfield is now searched near the landing waypoint specified in the mission.
  • The "Do Like Me" and "Attack by Sight" commands have been temporarily hidden from the Commander Menu and will return after further refinement.
  • Fixed the approach logic for AI-controlled aircraft when dropping flare bombs.
  • AI-controlled aircraft now drop flare bombs only during level flight.

AUTOPILOT AND FLIGHT ASSISTANTS
  • The permitted altitude deviation before the level flight autopilot disengages has been increased from ~50 to ~120 meters.
  • The automatic level flight hold assistant now disengages when the altitude deviation exceeds 120 m.
  • The automatic vertical speed hold assistant now disengages when control surface deflection is significant.

INTERFACE
  • Fixed the display of units of measurement in mission briefings generated in Career and Task Editor when the By Aircraft setting is selected.

CONTROLS
  • Fixed saving of dead zone settings for throttle axes and similar axes.
  • Fixed the operation of control inversion.
INTERFACE
CAREER
  • Fixed the display of Career results based on operation success.
  • Icons for night missions have been added in Career.
  • Fixed a situation where a daytime mission could not be selected while viewing a night mission.
  • The time displayed on the main Career screen now updates after every mission.
  • The regiment information panel is now pinned when creating a Career.
  • The campaign description now appears automatically when it is first opened. It can be opened again later using a dedicated button.

  • Non-combat days in the calendar are now displayed in a lighter color.
  • Fixed the display of line break tags in Career mission briefing texts.

MAP

PLAYER MESSAGES
  • When the corresponding setting is disabled, messages from other players are no longer displayed on screen.
GAMEPLAY
MISSIONS
  • In interception missions, bomber groups and their escorts now take off after the player.
  • In Career, the flight altitude of bombers and escort groups has been increased.
  • In Task Editor, when the player starts from an airfield, flight altitude is now determined by the bomber group.
  • Options for deactivating the airfield waypoint have been added to prevent the player's group from getting stuck on it.
  • In heavy bomber escort missions, the route altitude has been increased.
  • Weather conditions for generating interception and bomber escort missions have been adjusted.
  • Fixed a logic sequence in bombing missions that could cause the objective to be completed before bombs were dropped.
  • The default holding altitude over the airfield and the bomber route altitude are now set to 6,000 m.
  • Escort groups are now positioned behind the main group at 1,000-meter intervals.
