Update 1.004
Hello, pilots!

Today, we are releasing update 1.004 for Korea. It includes numerous changes: improvements to AI behavior, new missions, Career improvements, manual control of aircraft fuel systems, as well as improvements to controls, multiplayer, graphics, and sound.
GAMEPLAY
AI AND AUTOPILOT

  • Improved the behavior of AI-controlled aircraft when pursued by an enemy: they now perform defensive maneuvers to evade attacks.
  • Fixed frequent spins of AI-controlled aircraft during aerial combat.
  • Eliminated a number of causes of AI-controlled aircraft colliding with the ground.
  • Improved AI-controlled aircraft attack runs against airborne targets.
  • Improved the aiming algorithm used by AI-controlled bombers when level bombing in windy conditions.
  • Improved the return-to-base profile of AI-controlled jets when out of ammunition or low on fuel—they previously returned at low altitude.
  • F-51D: fixed AI-controlled aircraft behavior during landing that could result in a stall and collision with the ground.
  • Improved aircraft taxiing at airfields.
  • Fixed a situation where the autopilot would not taxi onto the runway after the aircraft's starting position was changed.
  • Fixed unintended aircraft rotation on the runway when the autopilot was engaged after receiving takeoff clearance.
  • Fixed intermittent firing by turret mounts at fast-flying targets.
  • Fixed aircraft turret targeting logic: previously, turrets could open fire before the target entered their firing arc.
  • Fixed road detection by AI-controlled ground vehicles: single-lane roads are no longer treated as two-lane ones.
  • Fixed ground vehicles following roads to route waypoints.
  • Fixed trailing vehicles cutting corners at intersections while moving in a convoy.
  • Fixed target selection by AI-controlled vehicles: civilian objects are no longer selected for attack.
  • Fixed the logic for attacks on aircraft by ground vehicles and ships.
  • Adjusted anti-aircraft gun aiming at airborne targets with significant angular movement.
  • Fixed an aircraft AI failure triggered by repeatedly changing a target's state from air to ground, then back to air and ground again.
MISSIONS

  • Added the "Strategic Object Cover" and "Enemy Harbor Attack" missions to Career and Task Editor.
  • Added the M6 Tractor to Career and Task Editor.
  • When generating missions, the altitude of intermediate route waypoints is now determined by flight distance and aircraft type.
  • In Free Flight, Skirmish, and Duel missions, disabling the "Anti-Air Artillery" option now also disables friendly anti-aircraft guns.
  • Added map markers to bombing missions.
  • Fixed mission generation in the "The Attack at Chuncheon" and "The Battle of Heartbreak Ridge" operation zones.
  • Increased the number of vehicles and added anti-aircraft guns in the task area of Armed Reconnaissance and Traffic Interdiction missions.
  • Fixed fuel quantities in Airfield Defense, Designated Area Patrol, Strategic Object Cover, and Escort Transports missions.
  • In Career and Task Editor missions, the player's group can now be intercepted by both jet and piston fighters. Interceptors of the same type as the player's group are more likely to be encountered.
  • The number of enemy interceptors now depends on the size of the player's group and the Power Balance and Air Forces and AAA settings, ranging from 0 to 12. Interceptors may also have an escort of up to four aircraft. Increasing the Power Balance setting also increases the probability of interceptors appearing.
  • Fixed the composition of enemy radar groups in Career and Task Editor: vehicles now correspond to the enemy side.
  • K-19 Haeju airfield: fixed the aircraft spawn position so its wing no longer appears inside a revetment.
  • Fixed the entry route into one of the revetments at K-19 Haeju airfield.
  • Adjusted the mission failure condition.
EXAMS AND CAREER

  • Updated the map in all Exams.

  • Added completed Exam stamps for all localizations.
  • Damage to buildings, bridges, and other map objects caused during a mission is now preserved in subsequent missions.
  • Added gradual repair of destroyed bridges. Repair sections are installed first, and the bridge is fully restored after a longer period of time.
  • Added the MiG Alley operation zone for Eastern Bloc countries. It regularly appears for several days in northeastern Korea and includes patrol and interception missions.
  • Adjusted airfield ownership: outside MiG Alley, Korean airfields are no longer assigned to the USSR. The bases of AI-controlled North Korean and Chinese air units have been changed to prevent Soviet aircraft from flying outside MiG Alley.
  • Adjusted the boundaries of the "The Third Battle of Old Baldy" operation.
  • Adjusted resource balance.
  • Fixed Pilot File corruption that could cause the photograph and rank to be missing and the pilot to disappear from the roster.
